Protein Overnight Oats Recipe
No breakfast would be complete without a coffee, but I thought I would share one of my high protein breakfast ideas with you! It is super important to fuel your body and make sure you’re getting all the necessary nutrients for your own needs and goals! Especially after a workout, I try to incorporate lots of protein dense foods to make sure I meet all my nutrient goals. A favourite of mine is overnight oats as it is super easy to whip up the night before and requires little to no clean up.
- 3/4 cup oats
- 1-2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 scoop of your choice of protein powder (I use PVL Isogold vanilla milkshake)
- 1 cup of milk alternative
- 1 tsp almond butter
- Handful of blueberries
Mix all dry ingredients together in a mason jar, then add your milk and stir until combined. Stick that bad boy in the fridge for a few hours or overnight and split into 2 servings in the morning. Top with your favourite fruits, nuts or butters (I use almond butter and blueberries) and enjoy!
