What To Do For Halloween This Year…
COVID-19 ruined Halloween. One of my favourite holidays. HOWEVER, I will not allow it to ruin everything that could have been.
This year, I trekked out to my local Homesense & Michaels to find some decorations for my bedroom. I was able to find tons of cute decorations to really get into the spirit of Halloween. So after returning home with my purchases I put on the classic, Halloweentown, and got to work.
Next, now that my room is up to standard, we headed for the pumpkin patch. Usually, I will go to Laity Pumpkin Patch, as it is the local spot and the closest. However this year I decided to switch it up. So we packed up into the car and headed east to Aldergrove, for Aldor Acres Pumpkin Patch. Greeted by lots of furry little friends, we made our way through the farm where we met lots of cute little animals, like piglets, lambs, and tiny little bunnies. The baby animals were enough for me to pay the $12 entry fee. Then we headed for the corn maze and sunflower fields for some cute photo-ops. Lastly, we picked our pumpkins and took some more pictures before heading back home.
Lastly, there’s nothing like curling up on the couch with some freshly baked Pillsbury Halloween cookies, and warm cup of apple cider, and some classic Halloween movies to put you back into the Halloween spirit. So, I’ve listed a few of my favourites to give you some suggestions!
- Halloweentown 2: Kalabar’s Revenge
- Halloweentown High
- Return to Halloweentown
- Twitches 2
- Hocus Pocus
- The Haunted Mansion
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
So while there might not be any Halloween parties, or trick or treaters at your door, doesn’t mean it’s not Halloween.
